Empowering Sounds of Movement Inc is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization was created to teach the deaf, hearing youth, and young adults ages the life and business skills that will allow them to make wise career decisions for a successful future. We are asking for your help so we can promote an alternative form of training as a positive and productive avenue to impact the youth and young adults. We invite you to join us in this much needed life-changing experience. This organization will provide you with a great opportunity to give back to our community and ensure that the deaf, hearing youth, and young adults tap into their potential for a successful future.

 

The youth and young adults in our community need positive guidance and productive experiences. Today’s youth and young adults are more likely to drop out of school due to a variety of demographic, socioeconomic, and institutional characteristics. Furthermore, the youth and young adults are forced to face the harsh realities of dysfunctional homes, teen dating violence, drug abuse, poor peer relations, promiscuity, unplanned pregnancies and low self- esteem. Without adult guidance, young people won’t be able to meet their own needs or develop skills and values to manage their lives. ESOM’s Community Business Education Training program is designed to provide the youth and young adults with the necessary skills and confidence to make better business decisions. The youth will have the opportunity to learn etiquette, life skills, self sufficiency, business and job readiness skills which are aimed at assisting them in making better decisions.  Each student will participate in one on one counseling sessions to guide them to internship opportunities that align with their career interests, short and long term goals, and dreams. ESOM’s internship opportunities will expand their knowledge, increase their skill sets, and provide a memorable experience about basic life skills, self-sufficiency, business, and entrepreneurship.
